Most people only see the flashing lights when an incident happens.

What they do not see is the highly trained Control Centre Operator working behind the scenes 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

A professional Security Control Centre Operator is often the first link in the chain that protects lives, property, businesses and communities. They are responsible for receiving alarms, monitoring CCTV systems, dispatching Armed Response Officers, communicating with clients, coordinating emergency services, and making critical decisions under pressure.

In the South African security environment, this role requires much more than simply answering a telephone.

A successful operator must be:

✅ Capable of working shifts, including nights, weekends and public holidays

Minimum Requirements

✔ Grade 12 / Matric
✔ Clear Criminal Record
✔ Strong Communication Skills
✔ Computer Literate
✔ Ability to Work Shifts (Days, Nights, Weekends & Public Holidays)
✔ Prior Experience Will Be Beneficial
✔ Fluent in Afrikaans and English (Speak, Read and Write)
✔ Team Player with a Positive Attitude
✔ Preference will be given to Non-Smokers

Important Requirement

Applicants must currently reside in Bethlehem or have confirmed accommodation in Bethlehem before applying.

Due to the operational nature of this position, applications from candidates who do not reside in Bethlehem and who do not have confirmed accommodation arrangements in Bethlehem will unfortunately not be considered.

At Silent Nite Security, our Control Centre Operators form the heart of our operation. They are the voice that clients hear during emergencies and the people who help coordinate the response when every second counts.

Prior experience in the security industry will be beneficial, but it is not essential.

Remuneration

💰 Starting Salary: R9,000 per month.

The successful candidate will receive a starting salary package of R9,000 per month. Future remuneration and growth opportunities will be based on performance, reliability, attitude, commitment to the company, and the ability to meet the standards expected of a professional 24/7 Security Control Centre Operator.
